Toni in the Clinic
Toni got a chance to help out in the medical clinic here at the home. She is examining Elmer's oldest son.

Kevin is one of the newest little boys at the home. He is four years old and quite a pleasure to be with. He has a younger brother Melvin here also who is 18 months old.

Dinner at Elmer's
Monday Night we had an opportunity to have dinner at the house of a long time friend and employee here at the Home. His wife Sara made us a wonderful dinner of typical Guatemala foods. The Guacamole was a favorite of the team although, I really enjoyed the salad which can be best describes as Big Mac sauce with shredded lettuce stirred into it. We were certainly blessed.
Saturday at the Museo
On Saturday we treated some of the kids to a trip to the Guatemalan Children's Museum. It is an interactive learning center like a discovery zone. The kids had a great time and hopefully they learned something new in the process.

Work Starts
Friday was our first day of work. Larry had several phone repairs and other projects to work on. The rest of us focused on painting a house on the property for one of the missionary families.
We made it!
We arrived safe and sound on Thursday afternoon. The flights were uneventful which is to say they were great! We got to the home around 3pm, had orientation and then took a quick tour.

Going to Guate!
7 of us will be heading out tomorrow morning for a 10 day mission trip to Guatemala. We look forward to serving at the New Life Children's Home in Villa Nueava. They are a great ministry literally changing the lives of the children they serve. This is our 20th trip to the Children's home and we look forward to doing whatever they need us to and reconnecting with a lot of old friends.
